RESIDENCIES IN 2024

Attitudes production residencies, August 2024:
In August 2024, three of the six selected Attitudes groups came to Dansekapellet for residencies: Camilla Siddu (DK), Black Pearl de Almeida (DE), and CREATE4 (NL). They further developed their performances, which premiered at Kampnagel in Hamburg on October 18, 2024, before touring the six partner countries. During the residency, the international artists also met Danish based Hip Hop artists, exchanging experiences with them.

Dansekapellet presented the Attitudes works as a full program during the Attitudes International Dance Festival 2024.

Breakin' Convention, September 2024:
As part of the Attitudes residency program, Danish based choreographer and dancer Marie Kaae participated in the Breakin’ Convention Residency Open Art Surgery in London in September 2024.

Attitudes Sharing Residencies, October 2024:
As part of the Attitudes project, choreographers Emina Musti and Ludvig Karlsson had previously been in residency at Dansekapellet, where they developed choreographic material. In October 2024, they were invited back for a residency, concluding with an Attitudes Sharing & Open Session for the audience during the Attitudes International Dance Festival 2024.

Previous Residencies
In December 2023 and January 2024, choreographers Ludvig Karlsson, Emina Musti, Camilla Siddu, and Marie “Gumdrop” Paldrup each spent two weeks at Dansekapellet. Their residencies resulted in work-in-progress pieces presented at Dansekapellet’s Friday Night Sharing—a concept that allows artists to share their work with an audience.

In December, French dancer and choreographer Linda Hayford visited Dansekapellet as a mentor for Ludvig Karlsson and Emina Musti. In January, American dancer, DJ, and musician Damon Frost mentored Camilla Siddu and Marie "Gumdrop" Paldrup.

Attitudes is co-funded by the European Union.
